If you’re staying at Cormar Suites, three of Malaysia’s most jaw-dropping skyscrapers are literally on your doorstep. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about KL Tower, Petronas Twin Towers and the brand-new Merdeka 118—plus an exclusive Cormar guest discount for tower tickets and how to join the major sporting and cultural events coming to KL Tower in 2026.
KL Tower (Menara KL) – 421 m – 2 blocks from Cormar
Menara Kuala Lumpur remains the seventh-tallest telecommunications tower on the planet and the undisputed icon of the KL skyline. From Cormar Suites it’s a flat, two-block stroll—under five minutes—so you can beat the tour-bus queues by arriving right at opening time.
- Observation Deck (276 m): 360° glass windows, free-viewing binoculars, augmented-reality photo booths.
- SkyDeck (300 m open platform): No glass—just a waist-high railing between you and the city. Sunset slots sell out first; pre-book online or ask reception to reserve.
- Atmosphere 360 Revolving Restaurant: One full rotation every 52 minutes, international buffet or à-la-carte high tea. Smart-casual dress code; sandals and sleeveless singlets are not allowed.
Cormar guest perk: Present your room-card key plus the discount code from reception and save up to 30 % on standard deck tickets. The code is valid for up to four tickets per room and cannot be combined with other promotions.
Petronas Twin Towers – 452 m – 2-minute walk from Cormar
Leave the hotel lobby, cross the air-conditioned KLCC–Bukit Bintang pedestrian bridge, and you’re at the Suria KLCC shopping centre in 120 seconds. Take the lift to the Petronas Towers’
- Skybridge (41st floor, 170 m): The world’s highest two-storey bridge; free-span, no ground support. Limited to 1 000 visitors per day—buy tickets online before 8 a.m. for same-day entry.
- 86th-floor Observation Deck: Digital telescopes with six-language narration. Last ascent is at 19:30; night views include the illuminated Menara KL mast.
- Suria KLCC: Six retail levels, 300 stores, Cold Storage supermarket, Petrosains Discovery Centre, Aquaria KLCC and a 12-screen cinema. The mall’s Signatures Food Court accepts Cormar room-charge vouchers.
There is no Cormar discount for Petronas tickets (they are privately managed), but staying so close means you can pick off-peak time slots and avoid Grab surcharges.
Merdeka 118 – 679 m – Malaysia’s new tallest
Completed in late 2023, Merdeka 118 overtook the Petronas Towers by 227 m. The spire tops out at 118 floors—hence the name—and the tower is anchored to the historic Merdeka Stadium where independence was declared in 1957.
- PNB 118 Observation Deck (Levels 114–116): Triple-height glass atrium, 1 000 ft sky-walk, digital “sky-glide” VR ride over Peninsular Malaysia. Timed entries every 20 minutes; average visit 60 minutes.
- Getting there: Take the MRT Kajang Line from Bukit Bintang (four stops to Merdeka, 7 min). Trains start at 06:00; last return 23:30.
- Combo ticket: Deck + sky-dining lounge on Level 117. Dress code: closed shoes, long trousers for men.
Because Merdeka 118 is still in soft-launch phase, ticket quotas are small—ask Cormar concierge to secure a slot 24 h ahead.
